We have recently been able to experience septic tank problems Uruguayan style. The water level here in La Paloma has risen above normal, so the septic system won't drain and 3 weeks in a row we have had to pump the tank. So our landlord is having an over flow tank put in. This man used a pick ax and a shovel to break the concrete and dig out the dirt for the new tank. For a little guy he is very strong.

In just 2 days time working only part of the day he had the hole all dug! Pretty amazing! See how high the water level is! Only about 3 feet down and you hit water.

Dan even got in on it and moved most of the pile of dirt to the street.

Where the man loaded the dirt into his 1 horse power truck and hauled it away. They really know what manual labor is around here. Our noses will be very grateful when this project is over!

  1. Sounds like fun. Dad you sure never seem to like to miss an opportunity to serve or to play with tools...Not 100% sure on what the real answer would be. :)
