Birthday Temple Trip for Ruben and Janice

In order to get Ruben on the public buses he has to climb on my back and I give him a ride into the bus. We do get lots of wierd looks from people as we are doing it but it is the only way to get him from one city to the next since we do not have a car. We climb the steps and hopefully we are entering a bus that does not have another internal door. This door is usually small than the width of my shoulders, which is no problem when you don´t have someone on your back. But when you do and then your sideways dimension is bigger than your shoulders it takes some sqirming and wiggling to get through the door. The first time I did this when I was getting off the bus I ended up with me facing the drivers seat, so I had to back down the stairs. It was a bit of a struggle but we figured it out and have done better since and if we have an option we take a bus without the internal door. A better shot of the internal part of bus Dan & Janice with Ruben Bica in front of the Montevideo Uruguay Temple. We had a great trip. It was very relaxed and no stress, unlike when we take the whole Branch!

  1. Hey, cousins, how are you doing? I accidentally ran across your blog through Penny's facebook profile. How fun! Looks like the mission is keeping you busy. We still have a 17 year old...so it will be awhile before we get to serve. And we have a missionary son serving in Japan right now. Another single RM son at BYU. I should try writing you a letter! I don't know how much longer your Uncle Fred will last. He has an enlarged heart, and is so tired he rarely gets out of his chair. He'll be 91 in July. Everyone else is doing great. Aunt Ora has a lot of challenges right now. We're praying for the best.

    Talk to you later,
